Dr. Brooker is a South Carolina native and a graduate of Wofford College.  After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology there, he went on to earn a Doctorate Degree in Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina.  Dr. Brooker spent a year in academic research at MUSC prior to completing his Medical Degree at the Medical Univeristy of South Carolina in 2000. Dr. Brooker went on to complete training in Orthopaedic Surgery through the Greenville Hospital System in the Upstate of South Carolina. He then completed additional training in Hand & Microvascular Surgery at the University of California Medical Center in San Diego under the direction of Dr. Reid Abrams, M.D. He then came back to his home state to live and raise his family.

Dr. Brooker has been involved in the health care profession for the past twelve years.  He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, as well as Hand & Microvascular Surgery.   He has a special interest in treating hand and upper extremity problems.  He is dedicated to his patients and will work hard to achieve the outcome you desire.  He manages routine problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome, ganglion cysts, trigger fingers, and arthritis, but also has extensive training in the management of complex injuries of the hand, wrist, and elbow.  He looks forward to meeting with you to discuss your hand and upper extremity problems.

Memberships include:  American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, South Carolina Medical Association, and the Dorchester County Medical Society.
